“I just wanted to update you all on the run here in Sudan. I finished [the 34 km run] in 4.5
hrs, took me a little longer than I expected because I hurt my knee 45 mins
into the run. I ran with a team of 10 United Nations Military Observers and
a team of 6 United Nations Police who did it in a relay. We managed to raise
almost $7000.00 USD. If you are interested in more details and photos, you
can check out the blog at kirk-sudanjournal.blogspot.com ” (December 2009)

Cindy Harvey: Goofy Challenge at Disney World - ½ &Full Marathon

“We'll I did it....I completed the Goofy Challenge at Disney World. What a weekend of running. I ran the 1/2 marathon on Saturday then the FULL marathon on Sunday....yep, 39.3 miles in two days. Let me tell you, they should call it the CRAZY challenge...but Goofy is a great word to describe what I just did.
The GREAT thing is I did not suffer from any injuries whatsoever (no knee issue), just a little sore at the end of the race on Sunday through the hips, but it was straight pavement running (no give or relief).
......A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all your staff and clinics. I would never have done such a crazy challenge without the awesome coaching and therapy I received through your learn to run clinic, running assessment and exercises. I'm a Maximum Physio lover for life.
It was a sheer test of physical and mental endurance for me. What will my next CINDY ADVENTURE be???? hmmmm.....” (December 2009)
