Don Sorensen

Don Sorensen

Registered Physiotherapist/Clinic Owner

Don’s involvement in sports growing up was the catalyst for his career in physiotherapy. He began his studies at Mount Royal College in Calgary, where he earned a Diploma in Athletic Therapy. After spending a few years working in a private physiotherapy clinic, he was accepted into the Physical Therapy program at the University of Alberta, graduating in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy.

After graduation, Don returned to the clinic where he first discovered his passion for physiotherapy—Bowmont Physical Therapy in Calgary—and eventually took over the practice. Not long after, he fell in love again, this time with his wife Catharine, and moved to Wasaga Beach. In 2005, he opened Body ‘n Balance Physio & Wellness, and in 2017, he expanded by opening a second clinic in Creemore.

Don’s treatment philosophy centers on treating each patient as an individual. He believes it’s essential for patients to fully understand their injury or condition, and he takes the time to explain anatomy, X-ray and MRI reports, and assessment findings in detail. He also has a strong passion and special interest in running and the prevention of running-related injuries.

Erin Rinaldi

Erin Rinaldi

Registered Physiotherapist

Erin first discovered her passion for movement and rehabilitation while studying Kinesiology at the University of Toronto. That passion took her all the way to Ireland, where she earned her Masters in Physiotherapy from University College Dublin in 2018—and spent two years exploring the Irish way of life.

Growing up, Erin was an avid ski racer here in Collingwood, which gave her a first-hand appreciation for the demands of sport and the importance of effective recovery. Today, she takes an evidence-based, hands-on approach—collaborating with her patients and combining exercise therapy with manual techniques to help them move and feel their best, while guiding them back to the activities they love.

Outside of the clinic, Erin stays busy as a new mom and loves spending time outdoors with her husband and dog. Whether she’s hiking, downhill skiing, or just getting some fresh air, Erin enjoys making the most of every season.
